Pre school
Our Pre school room is designed to cater for 16 children from 48 months. The room is laid out to create a warm and stimulating environment where children can feel safe and nurtured throughout the day. Our staff are very experienced in caring for preschool children and provide excellent care and support to both the children and their parents. The ratio is 1:8 and they tend to stay in this room until they are ready to leave us to go to ‘Big School’ and start reception.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance and staff plan and provide stimulating activities to help and support young children to develop in the 7 areas of their development:

Communication &
language development

Physical development

Personal, social &
emotional development

Mathematical development

Understanding the
world

Literacy

Expressive art
& design
The Pre school room has provisions for children to develop their fine and gross motor skills through playing with various resources and equipment specially selected to enhance their learning and development such as mark making, reading and writing activities, counting, musical instruments, sand/water play, puzzles and games, home corner, construction toys, climbing frame, dressing up, ICT and much more.
We understand the importance of extending Sensory play for children's development therefore, we offer activities to stimulate their senses and provide them with opportunities to experience new textures, sounds fragrances, colours and visual stimulants such as jelly play, foam play, messy play, and being creative with different materials.
The children also have access to a secure outdoor play area so that they can enjoy the outdoors. The outdoors is an exciting place for young children to play and we have designed our areas to be safe and secure, and to further enhance their learning opportunities.
When you first register your child with us, we offer an induction process to help you and your child settle quickly into nursery. Throughout the induction process you have the opportunity to discuss and share information with the nursery staff and ask as many questions as you wish.
